40 over 40 Campaign with Susan Mesa

I chose to do a portrait session with the Lemaire’s for a few reasons. On a practical level I knew it would be a good idea to have some professional shots taken for my business and for social media use. When I first met with the Lemaire’s I realized that they were going to deliver with a session so much more than just a professional headshot. Speaking with them and understanding their process created a space for me to go deeper into my WHY of having them capture images of me. They helped me create an understanding of how photography,  with the capture of an image, can capture a story and a truth about a person. I am someone who has had many experiences in life and has overcome and accomplished a lot personally and professionally and yet I never commemorated nor celebrated anything. Experiencing a session with them was my way of expressing my belief in myself and celebrating all I have achieved and been through. 

Putting my faith in the Lemaires to do a good job was easy (everything they do is gorgeous) but putting my faith in the process of spending the money to celebrate my business and myself was not so easy but it was so worth it. 

I went into the shoot with full faith that they would make me look good (they promised my weird squinty face when I smiled wouldn’t look like an alien) so I went in confident something post and share worthy would come out of it 

What progressed was a number of hours that I could fully embrace being in the moment, enjoying the experience of eyes being on me in celebration and appreciation and of seeing two incredibly talented people deep in their creative genius.

I sunk into the process and allowed the flow feeling empowered and inspired and confident. 

At no other time have I experienced a day that was for me and about me. I was able to celebrate who I have been while acknowledging where I am going. It truly felt like that session brought me fully into present  time with my past self and my future self in awareness and self appreciation and love. 

For anyone on the fence about getting a session with the Lemaires - I would say a session will be so much more than you can imagine it can be. They will bring out the best of you visually and energetically. They will capture who you are in a way you didn’t even realize you could be. Through their len's you become transformed. 

As a life coach I help people feel their most empowered authentic self. This is what the Lemaires will do with not just the images they take and the photos you keep but with the entire process from the 1st conversation through the session to the deliberations of what photos to keep. They also follow up with you. From beginning to end they make you feel seen and heard on a deeper level. The experience you have at the photo shoot is an opportunity to express who you are in an acknowledged and safe way. The photos that are created from that session are a professionally stunning commemoration that you are beautiful and amazing and worth investing in.
